The Real Cost of Personal Development

If you are one of many people who think personal development products, courses and seminars are too expensive, look at it from a different perspective.  The real cost of personal development is far less expensive than you may think.  The most expensive part of the human body is the HEAD.  Here are some interesting observations:

Give your mind a thrill and add up some of the costs associated with filling your head with education. This is a short list:

a. Education from pre-school to high school
b. University degrees
c. Post graduate degrees
d. Specialty programs
e. Continuing education

What about those trips to the hair salon and barber shop?  And have you had your eyes checked and found out you need glasses, contacts or surgery?  Don’t forget dental visits.  Have you checked the prices of repairing one tooth that may need a crown?  By all means, include emergencies, braces and cosmetic work.  Ouch!

the real cost of personal development

For the women and men too, you must include skin care products, make-up, anti-aging creams, facial treatments and elective cosmetic surgery.  Your head is expensive real estate!

Of course you must look your best.  And part of looking good shows prominently through your eyes and smile.  Behind that is attitude.  A great attitude lives in your expensive head.

How much do you know about your creative mental faculties?

Interestingly, none of the listed items includes development of your most precious gifts; your higher mental faculties.  You know: Imagination, Reason, Memory, Intuition, Will and Perception.  How many classes have you attended on how to earn money by use of your creative abilities?

You are a magnificent human being capable of anything you can imagine.  To short change yourself by exclusive focus on everything but your greatest gifts is an enormous oversight.  It boggles the mind to watch someone pay upward of $600 for a helmet and balk at self-development seminar or course around the same price.  Go figure….

What is the real cost of personal development?

The cost you pay to avoid investment in seminars, personal mentors, self-help books, programs and other handy tools shows up as zero financial freedom, chains to jobs you don’t like, abandoned ideas and wishful thinking that never sees the light of day.  Look around and notice all the objects in the room you stand in now.  Every one of those things came from the mind of a person just like you.

You have infinite potential locked up inside of you. No one even knows what you are capable of doing. No one can accurately pinpoint what you will do in any given moment. Do yourself a favor and get heavily involved in your own personal development. The good news is that you can start at any time. Whatever you give your attention to will grow, guaranteed!

Today, ask yourself this question: “Am I worth investing in?” I’m sure you will feel your answer rise to the top of your HEAD.
