Memory – Re-Imagine Results

“There is an imaginal past and an imaginal future.”

The highest and best use of memory is to recall in imagination something previously experienced and to re-imagine results.  First of all, where is the past? For that matter, where is the future?  And who has jurisdiction over the experiences of either in your life?

Memory, a higher mental faculty that every human being can utilize becomes a powerful tool through its proper use and control.  Fortunately, you can recall anything you desire without the aid of another person.  And you can equally recall events or circumstances via the trigger of many external sources.  Hence, therein lays the necessity to learn to control your use of memory for your advantage.

Use memory - give yourself a second chance.

Technological advances give rise to instant images designed to trigger certain lines of thought within an individual.  Whether or not an external suggestion is welcomed into the mind of the observer can only be dealt with by the choice to engage.  No one can require you to think a certain way and expect absolute compliance.  Likewise, you can recall anything and also rearrange an entire scene in imagination. Memory is an outstanding tool!

Because, if, by reenacting, the past is recreated into the present – so- by acting out your re-imagined result, the future can be brought into the present.  This illustrates how you can give yourself a second chance by the highest and best use of memory.  There is no law that decrees you cannot change a memory into a newly imagined result.  To be reminded of something that turned out contrary to what you desire is an opportunity.  The law of consciousness is awareness of reality.  This is another paradigm shift you can add to your personal development plan.

Re-imagine different and better results.

Revision is creative.  How wonderful it is to know that you can create your own reality as you go along.  If you are one who thinks that creativity is out of reach, look to memory - re-imagine results. Observe the revisions of just about everything.  For example, look at a chair and realize how many different versions there are of a single chair.

Make a decision to change a remembered result into something better.  Recall memories of things that bring a smile to your face.  Release the inner words that keep you locked in a circle that recalls memories of things you have not yet revised.  Adopt a new attitude.   Your revised result is the opportunity.  And you will find by use of your memory in this way, how your life really is under your control.
